Chen Weijia’s artistic practice cuts across painting and animation, and their interaction advances the decoding of her real-life. In her hands, painting and animation are different not only because they are two different approaches but also because the two link up to achieve a more profound narrative. Her works are sensitive in a feminine way, rendering poetic value to everyday things and bringing out a certain sense of distance through nostalgic images. The delicate and sensitive images are undoubtedly touching.
